Founded in Beloit, Wisconsin in 1940 by Gerald Belardi, Liberty Engineering employed ten engineers for contractual work for the U.S. Government and for companies that manufactured component parts for the Armed Forces. In the early 1940's, Liberty accepted a challenge to design and manufacture equipment under a government contract. A building was quickly acquired in Roscoe, Illinois. In 1943 an expansion to this building offered more space for machinery and storage, and additional customers were solicited. It was during this time that Liberty became involved in the paper and pulp industries. Today, Liberty is a major manufacturer of paper testing equipment used in laboratories worldwide. The search for customers also led Liberty to the candymaking industry, and the development of candy moulds, pumps and rotary dies. In addition, Liberty subcontracts its special machining capabilities to candy producers to manufacture spare parts for other candymaking equipment. NEW PRODUCT |
